A few years ago she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, but through some studies it was confirmed that her illness was not Alzheimer's but Lewy bodies dementia, a degenerative disease of the cognitive capacities, which presents, at the same time, symptoms of parkinson's and hallucinations. Two years ago she was still living in her house with my uncle who was in charge of taking care of her since he, his wife and his children live in her house . My mother, my sisters and I visited her constantly. Unfortunately my uncle didn't take care of her properly, she was in a bad condition, her eyes almost didn't shine, so we brought her to live with us.
