Anthropology A fundamental aspect of anthropology is the ethical and social commitment to the human groups, environment and cultures studied, where respect and communication is the basis for the study and work of anthropologists. It is also fundamental to seek solutions to the problems that afflict the groups, communities and societies studied in order to contribute to an improvement in their living conditions and to create a better world. besides that, anthropologists must provide feedback on the studies to the groups studied, so that they can give their approval, know the results obtained and be included in the research. Many times the solutions to the problems studied are materialized in public policies. An example of this is when indigenous communities are not recognized by the state in which their territory is located, and the state denies them their rights, anthropologists should seek solutions to these problems, either through public policies that improve the precarious sit...

A photograph. Its story . She is Silvia Rojas Veliz, my grandmother, who is currently 74 years old. A few years ago she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, but through some studies it was confirmed that her illness was not Alzheimer's but Lewy bodies dementia, a degenerative disease of the cognitive capacities, which presents, at the same time, symptoms of parkinson's and hallucinations.  Two years ago she was still living in her house with my uncle who was in charge of taking care of her since he, his wife and his children live in her house .  My mother, my sisters and I visited her constantly.  Unfortunately my uncle didn't take care of her properly, she was in a bad condition, her eyes almost didn't shine, so we brought her to live with us.  She is currently prostrate and does not speak, but can sometimes utter a few words, nod and deny. My mom, sister and I take care of her, unfortunately we can't do anything to help her recover her old faculties since the dis...
The importance of an education about diseases In many countries, including Chile, there is no education about diseases, whether mental, degenerative, or physical. This generates a collective ignorance, stereotypes, and prejudices regarding this issue. By not having an education about diseases, it is more difficult to face and treat them, both for those who present them and for their families and friends. For a person who is ill, receiving support and help from their loved ones is essential to better cope with their illness, which is why an education that delivers these tools to their loved ones is necessary.  On the other hand, if there were an education about diseases, bullying towards the people who have it would be avoided and considerably reduced and, in turn, its consequences, such as low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, among others.  Through education, mental illnesses and the importance of mental health would be made visible, and the presence of these illnes...

My favourite piece of technology📱📷📺📻💻 My favorite piece of technology is the cell phone. I have owned a couple of cell phones over the years. In the middle of this year, I got the cell phone that I use right now because my other cell phone stopped working. Since it's a very versatile technological object, I use it for a lot of things like listening to music, taking pictures, watching movies, series and different videos, study, talking to my friends and relative ones, among other things. I use it every day or almost every day. I like the cell phone because it can help you with various needs and at the same time you can have fun with it. My life without the cell phone would be almost the same, but I would not have the help and entertainment that the cell phone gives me, so perhaps it would be more difficult, stressful, and boring. My cell phone
About studies and future jobs♡🔮 When I was a child I have a lot of dream jobs, such a being a doctor or a singer. Then in highschool I was so lost about what I want to study and do in the future. I used to like a lot of professions like being a history teacher, an anthropologist,  or a psychologist ,  but none of them fully convenced me at that time. The only thing I was sure of was that i want to being able to help people . For that reason (and others too) I decided to take a year to think about it. Beside that, my dad want me to study medicine but I wasn't into it like before, so I declined that option.  B efore I make my mind about what profession I would like to study, I was thinking between Anthropology and Psychology, I really like both of them .  Early this year,I applied for both of them and I got into Anthropology. However, I also want to study Psychology in the future and have two professions. I personally think that these two careers complement...
